About the point of sale system in PHP
The point of sale system is a system created using PHP that manages all product listed on the site, sales transactions. This system is managed by the admin. The administrator creates categories and list products, when the products listed on the site are purchased using this system, it is recorded and then displays in the admin dashboard.
Only the admin can add users. From the report of all sales can be seen from the sales report page.
This system helps to increase the accuracy of your inventory, save time and make management easy.

Server Requirements
Almost all servers already have them installed.

- MYSQL Database
Step by step to run the script (installation)
We will be using XAMPP to run this project.
For XAMPP
- The complete zipped script is provided below. To download it, click on the download button.
- Go to your download folder or directory in your Pc and extract the source code folder.
- Copy the folder you extracted and paste it in (for XAMPP xampp/htdocs, for WAMPP wampp/www, for LAMPP var/www/html) root directory in your pc.
- Open your XAMPP Control panel and start Apache and MYSQL.
Creating a database
- Open your browser.
- Go to this path “http://localhost/phpmyadmin/”
- Click on New on the left side of the screen.
- Create a database named “pos” (or with any other name you want) and click on create. Read NOTE below first.
- Click on the import tab.
- Click on browse file and select “pos.db” from the database folder you extracted.
- Click on Go.
NOTE: IF YOU USE ANOTHER DATABASE NAME APART FROM pos, MAKE SURE YOU ALSO CHANGE IT IN CONNECTION.PHP FILE
After creating a database
- Open a new tab on your browser and go to the path. E.g. “http://localhost/pos-system/
- The login page will be displayed.
- Login using the details below, you can also change it in the admin panel.
