About the student management system in PHP
This project called the student management system in PHP is an online student management platform which is written in PHP and can be used to create an online student management website. This student management system has so many features which are listed below.
This Web Application is written in PHP Language and Uses MySQL Database. This system has two access methods which are the admin and student. The Admin can add a student by filling in the student details such as the full name, the email, the class, date of birth, guardian details, the student login details, etc. When a student is added they can be seen and managed from the students menu. A student can be updated from this page if any detail needs to be changed.
Before a student can be added, the student class and section needs to be created first. Created classes can be seen from the manage class section.
A notice or an announcement can be made for student for each class from the admin panel. The admin can also make public notice for the entire student.
All announcements made can be seen on the manage notice page. Reports can also be made by the admin. This system also includes a search system for searching students by ID.

Requirements

Step by step to run the script (installation)
A server is required to run this project. We will be using XAMPP.
For XAMPP
- The script is provided below, click on download to start downloading the script.
- Go to your download folder in your Pc and extract the source code folder.
- Copy the folder you extracted and paste it in (for XAMPP xampp/htdocs, for WAMPP wampp/www, for LAMPP var/www/html) root directory in your pc.
- Open your XAMPP Control panel and start Apache and MYSQL.
Creating a database
- Open your browser
- Go to this path “http://localhost/phpmyadmin/”
- Click on New on the left side of the screen.
- Create a database named “eduauth”.
- Click on the import tab.
- Click on browse file and select “eduauth.sql” from the folder we extracted.

After creating a database
- Open a new tab on your browser and go to the path. E.g. “http://localhost/eduauth/” OR http://localhost/[The project folder]/ The home page will be displayed; from there you can login.
- You can then login.
- Login using the details below.
